Lindsay Emerson

By day, you’ll usually find me designing learning experiences, coaching adults, or tinkering with new tools to make training less ā€œcheck the boxā€ and more ā€œthat actually helped.ā€ Over the last decade, I’ve designed curriculum, facilitated professional learning, and led department‑level initiatives that support real behavior change for both students and educators.

My background includes serving as a Curriculum & Instructional Specialist, where I designed and delivered trainings on curriculum, LMS platforms, generative AI, and SaaS tools for educators across a large district. I partner closely with stakeholders to understand goals, analyze needs, and build solutions that fit into real‑world constraints—not just ideal scenarios.

Right now, I’m completing my M.S. in Instructional Design & Technology, with coursework in distance learning, e‑learning design and development, print and digital media (Adobe InDesign), and digital storytelling with Adobe Premiere Pro. This work shows up in my portfolio through scenario‑based e‑learning, media‑rich modules, and AI‑enhanced learning resources.

Instructionally, I lean on ADDIE, adult learning theory, and data‑informed iteration, while keeping things practical and human. That can look like: simplifying a messy process into a short, focused microlearning; building a blended learning path that respects people’s time; or using generative AI to speed up drafting so more time can be spent on feedback and refinement.

When I’m not designing learning, I’m probably storyboarding a new idea, exploring fitness (Lagree soon!), or finding ways to make complex topics feel a little less intimidating and a lot more actionable. If you’re looking for someone who can bring warmth, clarity, and strategy to your learning projects, you’re in the right place.
